Divisional Management Accountant- Maternity Cover
This role supports 3 commercial divisions and the Future Talent Programmes. The role will be involved in preparing divisional-specific management accounts. This role is 30 hours a week.
Please note this role is 30 hours a week and available until January 2026.
A minimum of 2 days a week will be required in the office.
Role Overview
This role supports 3 commercial divisions and the Future Talent Programmes. The role will be involved in preparing divisional-specific management accounts that are heavily relied-upon in business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
• Ownership of the month end management accounting process for our 3 divisions
• Liaison with the finance team in Cambridge on queries and sense checking of numbers
• Generation and sending of monthly finance reports
• First point of contact for queries from the business regarding their profit and loss statements
• Ownership of budgeting and forecasting of revenue and recharges
• Management and financial accounting and balance sheet reconciliations for small subsidiary entities
• Production of “shadow” profit and loss reports on a monthly basis, to include revenue reconciliations and cost analysis work
• Production of client billing reports and analysis as required by the Business
• Assistance with the preparation of statutory financial statements for small subsidiary entities
• Assistance with the year end audit process
• Assistance with invoicing and income reconciliations
• Assistance with the maintenance of PowerBI dashboards for reporting purposes
• Any ad-hoc requests as directed by the team or business
Key Skills
• Strong excel skills (macro-level not required)
• Experience of working in a management or financial accounts team
• Ability to deal with a wide variety of work, prioritising workload as appropriate
• Strong interpersonal and business partnering skills are required as it is a business-facing role dealing with staff at all levels
• Attention to detail and a problem-solving attitude are essential
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and PowerBI are favourable but not essential.
• The individual should be inquisitive and conscientious, with the ability to work to deadlines
Team Overview
The team has 1 Divisional Finance Director, 1 Divisional Business Manager, 1 Divisional Management Accountant and 1 Divisional Assistant Management Accountant. It supports 3 divisions in the commercial real estate sector as well as supporting the Future Talent Programmes for the whole UK business.
