Role Overview
An exciting and diverse role leading a team to deliver strategic and technical farm consultancy and management advice to a wide range of farm businesses across East Anglia.
You will be responsible for leading the Cambridge and Norwich Food & Farming departments, communicating, and working closely with the respective Heads of Office and the Head of Region.
You should also work closely with the other disciplines within Savills to assist in delivering the divisional strategy.
You will be based ideally out of our Cambridge office, and your focus will be in the following areas:
- Identify potential new business areas/service lines.
- Drive cross-selling and communication within the office and across the wider business.
- Grow the profile of the Cambridge and Norwich Food & Farming teams, including developing marketing, charitable events and PR opportunities.
- Foster local client relationships.
- Strive to exceed divisional fee-earning targets.
- Provide guidance and leadership, where required, to members of the department.
- Act with diplomacy, lead by example and ensure communication channels within the department are open and productive. Where appropriate they should act as a mentor to other members of the department.
- Identify skill gaps and recruitment opportunities in local markets.
- Responsible for the department's financial performance.
- Implement companywide strategies and policies within the department.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that the department remains compliant in respect of items such as Compliance, Health & Safety, ISO, and Business Continuity and that from an administrative perspective the department runs smoothly.
Team Overview:
Savills Food & Farming team in East Anglia assists clients with day to day management of their farming businesses as well as one off consultancy projects. The team is comprised of eight consultants split across the two offices.
The wider Rural division operates across the UK, with a network of 37 offices and a number of estate offices from Inverness in the North to Truro in the South-West.
