Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Planner to join our market‑leading Planning team in our London Office.
We are looking for someone who brings energy, initiative and a dynamic approach, and who thrives when working across a diverse portfolio of projects within commercial markets. Our team is currently delivering a strong pipeline of complex and high‑profile work, demonstrating our depth of expertise across multiple sectors and our commitment to providing high‑quality, innovative planning and development solutions.
In this role, you will support and lead on an exciting range of projects across Infrastructure, Industrial & Logistics, and Mixed‑Use development. You will take a high degree of ownership and day‑to‑day responsibility for project delivery in close collaboration with directors. Key responsibilities will include:
Undertaking research and enquiries to monitor and review development plans.
Preparing high‑quality representations to address emerging issues with practical implications for clients’ assets.
Drafting reports and supporting the preparation of planning applications through to major consenting regimes, including DCOs.
Assisting with the coordination of multidisciplinary project teams and engaging proactively with local authorities and external stakeholders.
You will also work alongside fellow Associates to coordinate the work of junior team members, providing guidance, supporting their professional development and contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture.

Team Overview
Savills has one of the largest planning consultancies in the UK with a team of 350+ operating across 23 offices across all the principal regional markets. We remain the largest planning consultancy set within a multi-disciplinary property company.
The Commercial Planning Team currently comprises of five Directors, four Associates and a number of Planners and Graduate Planners. This role will entail working closely with Directors in the Team to manage and support on an exciting pipeline of projects – including for clients such as Anglian Water, BAE Systems, Hutchinson Ports, Whitbread, Pigeon and Padrock.
Our aim is to deliver planning solutions that maximise the value of our clients’ property assets, taking into account the planning policy context, technical and environmental factors, local community considerations and overall sustainability.
