Role Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Associate level Chartered Surveyor to join the Strategic Development Team in London. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of the Planning and Development sector, including an understanding of rural affairs and have experience in providing consultancy verbal advice to clients.
This role comprises of three main service lines: Development Consultancy, Development/Promotion Management and Agency. The role would suit an individual with a background in consultancy, whether in Development or other sectors such as Planning or Rural.
An important part of the successful candidate’s role will be to maintain and enhance this established relationship. As such, an understanding of rural issues and clients with rural property portfolios is preferable but not essential.

Team Overview
The Strategic Development Team sit within the Development Division at Savills but have close ties and an important working relationship with the Rural Division because together we advise many of the same clients.
The team provides specialist advice to both private and institutional landowners with strategic development land portfolios. Our clients generally have long term investment horizons and the team’s objective is to maximise the value of their assets by promoting them through the planning process; taking them from greenfield, agricultural land to residential led mixed use development sites, whilst minimising risk and maximising opportunity. This may be advising landowners on the commercial aspects of self-promotion, supporting the planning promotion process or helping them find and appoint a suitable development partner through a Promotion or Option Agreement.
