Role Overview
An opening has arisen for a Rural Surveyor to join a busy Estate Management team. The team provides core management and consultancy services in the rural, agricultural and residential sectors across Cornwall. The team are involved in a wide variety of work including land management, natural capital, leisure and tourism, landlord & tenant, farm and estate strategic reviews and renewables. This is an opportunity to build upon an existing body of work and develop further clients and contacts, in particular leading on day today matters directly with the owners.
Key Responsibilities
- Day to day running of rural estates and property
- Landlord & Tenant: lease negotiations, rent reviews, lease renewals, negotiated lease surrenders
- Consultancy advice, including strategic reviews of rural businesses
- Involvement in natural capital, diversification, and other specialist areas
- Deal with compliance, maintenance and refurbishments of various asset types
- Building rapport with colleagues, clients, other professionals, tenants, contractors and suppliers
Key Skills
- MRICS qualified
- Experience of land management operations at a day-to-day level
- The ability to deal with conflict and provide resolution
- Focused on delivering results
- Organised and driven
- Full driving licence
Team Overview
The successful candidate will be joining the Truro Rural team that has 12 staff members across various disciplines which include Estate Management, Rural Professional and Architecture & Building Surveying. In addition, the office has a Residential Agency team dealing with properties across Cornwall.
