Director – B2B PR
Working from our Margaret Street HQ in London, Savills is looking for an experienced PR director to lead the PR activity initially for our Capital Markets and Operational Capital Markets divisions.
Key Responsibilities
Implementing strategies to raise Savills profile and key individuals within the company in the national and international press as well as via digital platforms
- Planning and Implementing comprehensive press campaigns for properties and projects
- Acting as a trusted PR advisor to senior stakeholders within the business
- Recognising and understanding how policy change and legislation may affect the relevant divisions
- Communicating with and managing the expectations of high profile clients/instructions
- Liaising with PR agencies and press offices in respect of joint instructions, where required
- Working with internal communications team to on PR education programmes as applicable
- Contributing to internal PR reports and analysis
- Building and maintaining strong relationships across the print, broadcast and digital media landscape (property and news) and adhering to deadlines
- Securing widespread coverage both in the UK and internationally
- Content creation – writing press releases, thought leadership, blogs and internal news bulletins
- writing relevant and on brand market commentary on behalf of agents and advising on/drafting responses to issues or sensitive subject matters
- Working closely with the wider PR and communications team
- Collaborating with and providing Content to the Social media team
Additional Responsibilities
• A recognised leading professional and expert in their field
• Capable of commanding respect across the business for their professional views and general advice
• Possesses and demonstrates exceptionally sound judgement on any PR issue/crisis ; anticipates issues before they happen and takes the right action/gives the right advice
• Able to assess accurately and handle effectively any issue/crisis situation directing and dealing with key Savills people
• Proven track record in having a significant impact on their division in terms of results, improved performance and profile.
• Ability to propose, plan and implement complex PR or social media strategies/campaigns involving traditional and new media
• Has sufficient experience, confidence and gravitas to deal effectively with major internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrates leadership capability including recruiting, running and motivating a team
• Has exceptional intuition and judgement regarding PR , the media, crisis issues and situations department function, colleagues, and problem solving
• Has a dynamic approach to not only their role but to the improvement and evolution of the department (improved working practice, better internal systems)
• Driven to master and engage with new media and wider communications opportunities (social media, bloggers, etc)
Key Skills
Minimum five years’ PR experience
Must have excellent and proven copywriting / Content creation skills
Experience in advising clients
The ability to identify stories / recognise topical issues and themes affecting the real estate market
Good understanding of digital communications and Social media
Ability to work with and report to a number of different stakeholders across the business
Must be a self-starter, able to manage own workload and have a sound judgement
Previous experience in property PR an advantage
