Finance Manager
You will be joining the finance team in a critical role as Finance Manager – sharing the management of the shared finance service centre and delivering improved financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, coach and develop team members, providing technical support to the rest of Finance
• Effectively manage team managers on a day-to-day basis, organising resources to obtain optimum efficiency and ensure postings are timely and accurate
SOX / Processes
• Manage and assist the production of the required process documentation covering financial controls e.g. flowcharts, narratives etc for SOX.
• Act as the key liaison between UK Finance and SOX Assurance in respect of understanding feedback on deficiencies identified in testing and working with Finance teams to remediate.
• Support work from internal audit, SOX assurance team and assist in meeting external audit requirements, including collecting evidence from finance teams and testing of controls for both design and effectiveness.
Other
• Monitor and set targets and KPI’s for the team to improve controls and execute tasks in a high-volume environment
• Ensure compliance with Savills’ policies and procedures
• Review and approve the monthly reconciliations of transactional ledgers
• Identify opportunities for process improvements or automation, suggesting and implementing new ways of working, working with the existing Finance Managers and Ledger Managers
• Provide assistance with systems implementation, upgrades and testing
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with external customers, internal stakeholders and the wider Finance team
• Initiate / participate in other ad hoc projects as required
Key Skills
• Experience in managing a team within a Finance function
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload and deliver high quality work to tight deadlines
• Experience in a high-volume environment operating to defined service levels and targets
• Strong communications skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
• Use of Financial IT systems to ensure accurately processed high volume transactional data
• Process improvements experience

Based in Cambridge the UK Finance Shared Service Centre is a team of 56 people over 2 sites and is the central service centre for the Savills UK business providing an accounts service including Accounts Payable, Expenses, Credit Control, Sales Ledger, General Ledger & Management Accounts, Tax and VAT, Group reporting and Compliance, reporting to Savills PLC
