This exciting opportunity will be based out of our Telford office, a multi-disciplinary rural and residential office providing specialist services including rural management, forestry, building surveying, rural professional services and country house sales.

Role Overview
Ask anyone what they love most about being a rural surveyor at Savills, it would be that no two days are the same.
Whatever the type of property, whether a farm or estate each of our experienced experts has a specialism relating to our client's needs. Clients come to us, because we are committed to the business of the countryside.
We are looking for an individual to collaboratively work with our consultancy team based at our hub office at Telford and working across Shropshire, Cheshire, Staffordshire and North Wales. This could be a specialist role for a valuer but we are equally interested in speaking to those with an interest in farm agency and compulsory purchase. We are interested in hearing from a range of potential candidates be they at a senior, associate level or junior with an aspiration to progress and develop their career/ experience. We are also interested to hear from candidates from an Estate Management background who are looking to move to a consultancy role.
Our work is diverse and exciting, and our surveyors are working in rapidly changing rural land markets, with dynamic and forward thinking clients. The range of asset types and ownership structures is often diverse and we work in some of the most scenic and high value rural locations. Day-to-day tasks will comprise the buying and selling of farms and estates, landlord and tenant negotiations, Compulsory purchase, the valuation of farms, estates and residential property and assisting with expert witness work.
Key Responsibilities
You will be expected to demonstrate an ability to communicate well with clients and colleagues in a diplomatic way. Networking skills will be critical and the ability to develop business and encourage others to do the same will be vital.
Key Skills
- Member of RICS
- RICS Registered Valuer (preferable but not essential for the right candidate)
- Full, driving licence
- Understanding of the rural property and factors driving the agricultural land market
- IT competent
- Good market knowledge & strong commercial awareness
